Why the Fourth Pew?

Some of you may be wondering where the name The Fourth Pew comes from. The short answer is that when my husband is serving on the altar, I sit in the fourth pew with the rest of my family.

This past November my husband was installed as an Acolyte in the Catholic Church. This is his final step before being ordained a Deacon. For the last 6 years my husband has been studying, learning theology and preparing for this vocation. Ordination is set for Pentecost Sunday of 2011.

I am hoping this blog will be a blessing to all of us but especially for you the dear reader.
